A half hour conversation with the writer and co-star of the brilliant Peter Kay comedy, BAFTA award winning Car Share writer, Paul Coleman and Sian Gibson. Sian Gibson is co-writer and co-lead of Bafta and NTA award winning BBC1 sitcom Car Share, alongside Peter Kay. Car Share became the highest-rated new sitcom to premiere on any channel since 2011. The opening episode was watched by 6.85 million people while another 2.5 million viewed it on BBC iPlayer. Sian is also Bafta nominated for her performance in the show, playing lovable supermarket worker, Kayleigh Kitson. Series 2 premieres on BBC1 in April. Sian has since gone on to star alongside Tom Hollander in BBC Radio 4’s four part drama series School Drama, and Catherine Tate in one off UKTV Gold comedy, Do Not Disturb, directed by Nigel Cole (Calendar Girls and Made in Dagenham). Sian also guest stars in upcoming Tom Binns’ BBC1 sitcom Hospital People. Other guest leads for the series include Russell Brand, Sally Phillips, Alex MacQueen, Mark Williams and James Fleet.
As a frequent collaborator with Peter Kay, Sian has appeared in Channel 4’s That Peter Kay Thing, Phoenix Nights and Britain’s Got The Pop Factor and has most recently helped Peter raise money for Cancer Research UK by taking part in Dance-a-Thon parties in arenas around the the country for Peter Kay’s Dance For Life.
