Peppers-themed Carnival No.6 will weave its way to Stage No.6 in time for the 70-piece Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and The Bootleg Beatles amazing performance. This year, we’ve introduced some new ways to get involved with Carnival No.6 on Sunday, there’s now fun to be had creating and crafting as well as parading. There are three ways you can participate.
1. Wear a Sgt. Pepper’s themed costume or carry a processional flag in Carnival No.6
To participate by wearing a costume or carrying a processional flag in the Carnival you’ll need to be available from 12pm on Sunday to get ready in time for the Sgt Peppers Carnival No 6. at 2pm on Sunday. You will be asked to wear a specific colour/ outfit to match your carnival costume or flags, more information will be sent by email. We will take a deposit for the costume, which will be returned when you bring the costume back after the carnival. 2. Create your own unique Sgt. Pepper’s inspired carnival accessory
We will be running craft making workshops in the Village between 11am – 5pm on Saturday 9th Sept. You will need to be available to attend a 30-minute workshop within this time, and also be available from 12pm on Sunday to collect your accessory and assemble to carry it in Carnival No.6 at 2pm.
3. Come in your own Sgt. Pepper’s inspired costume
You can participate by wearing your own Sgt. Pepper’s inspired costume, created at home and brought to the festival. We’ll be creating a section of the carnival to represent the famous album cover collage artwork, with audience members dressing as someone notable from the cover. You will need to be available to join in the carnival from 1pm on Sunday, ready for the Carnival No.6 at 2pm. Simply let us know you plan to do this on the application form below, and we will be in touch soon with more details about where to meet on the day.
