Disabled Access

— Tickets and Info —

Disable Access applications for Festival No. 6 2018 will be open in January.

At the moment, if you require a PA ticket under the Personal Assistant ticket scheme, please click ‘Yes’ in the Extras section under ‘Disabled Access’ when you purchase your own ticket.

If selected, we will be in touch via email with information on how to apply for access when applications open in January.

*Please note – do not purchase a ticket for your personal assistant and/or any vehicle passes as these are applied for separately.

ACCESS AROUND THE SITE

The festival is held in Portmeirion, a stunning and historic village located between the mountains of Snowdonia and the Irish Sea. Beautiful to behold the landscape does however pose some potential mobility difficulties. For topographical and historic reasons some areas of Portmeirion are not totally accessible to all.

The Village is built on the coast and whilst the roads and pathways make most areas of the Village accessible to wheelchair users, there are several areas in Portmeirion where steep slopes and steps cannot be accessed easily and may prove difficult for wheelchair users. Please note: the road down to the main hotel is quite steep and could present problems.

There is an existing hard standing road that runs next to the Accessible Campsite. The Accessible Car Park is located off the festival site at the nearby park and ride. We have made provisions to ensure this is as accessible as possible for those with accessible parking requirements. The ground leading from the accessible car park and campsite to the Main Arena entrance consists of gravel road and grass. The distance is approximately 400 metres. The Main Arena is 300 metres from the main gate to the furthest perimeter edge.

Please also note that weather conditions can dramatically affect the ground conditions, so wherever possible try to consider what preparations you may need to make and equipment you may need to bring along.

BOOKABLE ACCESS FACILITIES

Please complete the the form only once you have purchased your ticket. If you require any help, please email access@festivalnumber6.com or call 0161 711 0017.

YOU MAY APPLY FOR THE FOLLOWING FACILITIES
1) 2 FOR 1 TICKETS FOR PERSONAL ASSISTANTS

We provide a 2:1 ticket scheme for individuals who would be unable to attend our events without bringing a personal assistant. Once you have brought a full price ticket, please fill in the Access Requirement Form and provide us with a form of evidence as listed on the form in order to receive your personal assistant ticket.

2) ACCESSIBLE PARKING PASS

The Accessible Car Park is located off the festival site at a nearby park and ride. If you request an accessible parking pass, you will be granted temporary access to the festival site to drop off any party members and luggage at the Access Campsite before parking your vehicle at the park and ride. You will then be granted priority parking and travel to and from the festival.

3) VIEWING PLATFORM WRISTBAND

A viewing platform with a stewarded accessible toilet is located within the Main Stage tent. In order to gain access to the viewing platform, you need a viewing platform wristband.  This also comes with a lanyard that can be worn by a personal assistant or companion so that they can join you on the platform.

4) ACCESSIBLE CAMPING WRISTBAND

On arrival Thursday and Friday, there will be an Access Information Point in the accessible campsite where customers can collect further information on access within the festival site. It is also here that additional pre agreed wristbands can be collected.
There will be a number of accessible toilets and an accessible shower within the campsite.

An Accessible Campsite wristband will allow you to access the campsite village services (bars, concessions and welfare) however please note that due to the layout and topography of the site this is some distance from the Accessible Campsite.

PLEASE NOTE:

Up to three days before the event you will receive an information email explaining in detail the procedure for arriving on site such as: how to collect personal assistant tickets and wristbands.
